Just use common sense when you're traveling overseas. The kid who got arrested in Singapore was a dumbass. It is a great time to travel internationally with the euro weakening and the cost of living being so cheap in Asia and Mexico. But yes, Amsterdam is pretty sweet!

Euro weakening?

Barely when you see how bad the US dollar is.
It's quite expensive for yanks to travel abroad right now.
But the USD is starting to make a comeback.

And we also have the oil barrel price going up. Travel costs are insane right now; but that's pretty much been the case since 911

The euro reached its all time high against the dollar in December of 04. The currency is still strong but has continued to fall against the dollar since Dec. Compared to last year, the euro is weaker vs the dollar.

Yeah the Euro has weakened compared to where it was. Recently the USD hit an all time high in like one year.

Today it's 1 EUR = 1.20955 USD

That's better compared to the 1EUR=1.35 usd a couple months back.

I've actually always taken currency exchanges to heart as it's always been important to me.
I remember when I was like 5 years old my parents bought a kick ass car in France cause the Dollar was insanely high 10 Francs to the dollar compared to the regular 5~6 Francs.

But yeah I wish the USD was doing better MUCH better.
I have some funds coming from the US right now and my parents have a part of their salary from the US.
hummm among other things I have my car sale money that's still in the account back in the US I'm waiting for a good time to transfer the money.I know a lot of people in Europe working here getting their full salaries from stateside and with the Euro situation it stinks for them.
