I didn't know jack about html either when Andre talked me into joining myspace a few months ago...

...Google, dude, Google.

Google: 'html codes'
Google: 'myspace html'
Google: 'html intro'

etc...

that's what I did! Very Happy

See... funny thing is, some of us old folks learned BASIC on the AppleII...
in 3rd grade... on the green and black monitors!

Now that was some head spinning stuff. BASIC makes html look like finger painting.

10 print "holy cats"
20 goto 10

etc...

IF THEN..

lol Yeah, I had a Texas Instruments TI-99/4A computer in the 7th grade. I took basic back then, too... If only I had kept with it, I'd be making 100s of 1000s of dollars by now... grrrrrrrrr....

Commodore PET. sixth grade IIRC. (I was in a rural school district Razz ) I think they had a whopping 16k (or maybe 32K) of memory by then. They stored data on cassette tapes and 5 1/4 inch floppy drives.

I walked 10 miles uphill to and from school in bare feet too.

damn kids **shakes cane in general direction of kids** have it way too easy these days!

I r0xerd in high school on this:

as you should be able to tell, i heavily modded the box and was light years ahead of the rest of the industry with my SVGA skillz. TRS-80 III were leet.

I went on to learn pascal on apple ii-3

The first computer I owned was:

On which I spent hours typing code from the back of Compute! magazine to have my own games which were then saved on the cassette records (i wasn't lucky enough to have a floppy drive).

Speaking of old bits of leetness, anyone have one of these:

We didn't get to have an atari, but that box blew it out of the water Smile

I actually have TWO Odysseys in the room next to me in a box.
I think I only have one with The Voice though!

I even saved some of the games boxes.

Did you have "computer" module? The one where you could do programming on it?

I remember the first time I saw an Odyssey2. The county fair was the biggest part of my social life back then, and the local magnavox/rca dealer had a stand set up with 4 tv's and stations just letting kids go nuts on em. I didn't leave that building most of the week Wink
