As you may have noticed, last week I played around with Gallery2 integration into the form. I hated it.

Today I installed "Gallery 1" and I like it MUCH better Smile

The global administrators of the forum can make changes, but that's only like 3 of us. I have an album set up for general public uploading, and I am still learning the permissions.

I am thinking about doing away with the Album, so if you have stuff there you may want to adjust the links. They are all moved to the new Gallery (though I am not sure the locations are permanent).

As I play with this more, I really like the integration it has into the forum. It has a lot more admin control than the old one, and stuff isn't hidden in it.

I started a photochop album in the Gallery and filled it with stuff from the one thread I could find. I know there is another thread but I can't seem to find it. Anyone who has stuff, please feel free to upload it!

The direct link to the gallery, not integrated with the forum is

well, technically it is this

but it doesn't really matter.


When you are logged into the forum, and click the gallery link at the top, you will be logged into gallery. Administrators will see a very cluttered screen... log out to see what it looks like to everyone else... or access it directly if you don't want to be logged in. You can not log into the gallery without accessing it from the forum.

Registerd forum users have the ability to create albums in the UPLOADS directory, and the ability to upload what you want. If you want a personal directory in the USERS section we can move it there.

I hope you like this better than the old method, and that pictures display much better and are easier to use. I really got sick of looking at those piss poor thumbnails. Oh, I think you can link directly to pictures in the gallery too if not I'll work on it so that you can.
