Hey everyone,
I'm looking to pick up a digital video camera down the road here, but I don't have any knowledge about them really at all.

Can you recommend any good mid range digital camcorders that are somewhat user friendly & work well for a novice.
Once again I am not knowledgeable on the subject and look not to become an expert on them, just want one for fun.
Not looking to spend a fortune either.

Ok before going any further you'll have to decide on several things.

Do you want this to be really small ( as in fit your pocket small ) ?

What kind of budget were you looking at ?


Apart from that there's a lot of other details that would be pointless to discuss cause as you mentionned you're not interested in getting the cream of the cream ( hence the budget )

I do advise to try and get dv in/out ( that's just one connector btw ) and otherwise most models have the a/v outputs. The dv in/out will let you plug into a computer with a firewire card and copy the footage much more practically.

Im looking to not go over the $500 range, and would like something that is more portable but not lacking in quality.
