Guys, with Katrina and the resulting floods driving gas prices at the pump past the $3.00/gallon mark, you MUST pull up these websites and save under your FAVORITES on your computer!

Go to http://www.gasbuddy.com/

or

http://www.gaspricewatch.com/new/ then follow the instructions to find the top 10 lowest and highest gas prices in your area. The site is user driven! I think you'll find it an essential tool! Good luck!

I also suggest CARPOOLING
BIKE RIDING... and using
PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION

besides saving money, and screwing the oil companies, this is also better for the environment and bike riding is healthy!

Carpooling, especially for recreational roadtrips like this Sunday's Tornoto party. Bicycling is definitely going back on my daily regimine for running local errands. I used to ride a lot... Time to invest in a bike again. ...and it IS very healthy. I was super lean back then. lol

OMG!! I remember one time my cousin let me borrow his EXCURSION to move from his and his wife's place to my first apartment in Chicago. I said I'd fill it up and he told me that it wasn't necessary.. that $20 would be fine. Me being the uber nice guy I aspire to be, I wouldn't take "no" for an answer.. well... *sigh* Upon inserting the nozzle into my gas recepticle and starting the pump, I put the handle on automatic and went to get some gum from the cashier. Upon my return, I noticed the guage reeling past $25.00 as if my pump had set and hooked a trophy-size Marlin, off the Gulf of Mexico!! Shocked Shocked Shocked I wanted to scream, but my mouth only opened.. I wanted to stop the pump, but became paralyed in disbelief.. When it was all over, I was paying the cashier in multiples of $10 bills. I told my cousin what I did and as laughed out and reminded me that I didn't need to do it.

I wonder what people with these monster SUVs are paying right now. I bet tears are streaming down many a quivering cheeck out there. Hee hee!! Razz

Thanx for the heads up on that one, Bushwik. I'll be adding that one to my favorites, also! Cool

Good luck guys looks like you're slowly approaching Old Europe gas prices.

Right now in France we're at around 5.50 a gallon or some rubbish.

Last gas fillup cost me:

85 bucks

The reality of it is that the prices have always been that high so people are used to it.

And hummm I haven't bought a new pair of shoes ( ok last purchase was 3 pairs at once ) in 2 weeks! I'm doing good Cool

Remember when it used to be like $100 to fill up a boat, and that seemed like a reason to not quite get a boat?

i may be forced to convert shoes to gas..
