Are you guys sick of my stupid posts and pics from out of town events?
No. Reddick, I like hearing from you and seeing what's going on in your life out west.

Ugh! I didn't even see the pictures last night...Sorry that happened dude, and you know that I feel your pain! That's why now I'm getting in the habit not to leave anything in the car...including my CDR's!

i feel your pain. a year ago this past weekend i had the same experience downtown...

while drowning my sorrows at Mercury over getting my first speeding ticket on the way into cleveland (for 25+ over the limit - which i STILL maintain is NOT true)...some douchebag(s) was/were violating my sweet, innocent car over on w. 9th....i didnt even leave anything out Sad

thankfully they were MORONS and couldnt quite figure out how to get the cd player out...

boo...

obviously pissed that they could only grab $.34 out of my change cup, they smashed the back passenger window for good measure and took the time to open the trunk, rummage through a bag i had, throw shit around in my car...but, were nice enough to leave the subs and amp i had. oh, they left my speeding ticket, too..

the real kick in the ass? i paid almost $500 to fix the windows that monday...and then totalled my car the next day. Rolling Eyes

if anything happens to the car i have now...i WILL go insane.

To share an LA Story...

I had an internship in Oregon back in 99 (a defunct Audio Magazine called Mixdown) ...That office closed after the first issue and we had to pack up and move to the LA office. My boss packed EVERYTHING he owned into a UHaul (Including his college degree, borrowed products for magazine reviews, computers with all of our subscriber information, and about 10,000 mags)...He pulled into town, got a hotel room, woke up the next day and the Uhaul was gone. They recovered it a week later and everything was gone (except for the magazines of course!)....

This happened right after his fiance dumped him...Then I was his shoulder to cry on for 2 months after that...horrible....

Wow kiddo... that's quite a story. Holy shit. See, i was nervous because my insurance policy is still under my Ohio address... and legally, i have to get a new policy that follows CA law.. Ohio = $840/year and Cali = $2500

So needless to say most people aren't willing to switch. The trouble is though.. they can drop you for fraud and not cover a claim... "Mr. Reddick, what on earth was your car doing in Hollywood?" You've got to be creative. I'm on vacation. Same thing with the police, they want me to pay CA taxes or its a huge fine... so when i filled out the police report at the station... I'm on vacation, staying with a friend (gave them my real address) and oddly my cell number i called from is a 323 hollywood number. DOAH! I think if it hadn't been 5 something in the morning they'd have given me shit... i've been dancing on thin ice. Luckily i renewed my ohio policy for an extra month, or it would have expired on sept 26th... YIKES!
