When you hear the term "live PA" what do you expect to see?
Anything in particular?
Does anyone believe in set methods of doing so.
I only ask, becuase I've seen coments alluding to BT's live PA setup. From what I hear it's fairly minimal. It's also said to be hard to see what exactly is "live" about it.
I'm kinda freakin out a little bit, because my setup is fairly minimal as well.
Dell Running Reason 3.0, Yamaha RS7000, and an Edirol PCR-30.
I can rock the shit out of it though.
I'm just wondering what genaral opinion is on the matter.
I know it all comes down to the music, but being that it is LIVE, the live image is fairly important.
Another interesting point, personally, I think keeping the setup as mobile as possible is fairly important. IF, that's a big IF, I'm ever good enough to where poeple out of town want to book me, I would like to keep the cost for them to do so, at a bare minimum. If anything, simple travel expenses. If I have a monster rig, the cost of transportation skyrockets.
I do know that it seems fairly cocky for me to even be talking about "the cost of booking me" by the way. I've only had three bookings so far, and they're only becuase of good friends who back me up a little bit. I'm just trying to get a little insight into where I wanna go in the future LIVE wise. If I even have a future in this.
I know my place guys, don't worry.
