This weeks release see’s our friend Alexis Forge Project take to the mike. A somewhat Balearic affair with a sweet sliding bass. This original track would clearly sit with a Projekt Inertia mix and clearly we see trait coming from Australia – and here at LP Towers we believe it to be somewhat justified certainly in the realm of our freshest releases. Some nice percussion elements here with great flooding pads. Relax, you’re in good hands.
Jayme Skeen & Dan Stark first hit our ears at LP via our sister label Beat Code and are now becoming a firm favourite in their quirky “chip choppy” way of handling things, especially on the remix front. Their vocal interpretation brings an the voice to an enlightened clarity which is slightly more “radio” than drifting (like the original). Again we get some wonderfully scattered effects and percussion movement sits in a highly achieving sound scape. Still chilled and will work in the lounge and on the floor.
Our resident producer Hernan Cerbello opened the gate on this one and certainly made it wash through to the garden of delights. This producer (even though we say so ourselves) never lets up. Driving with an hypnotic overture that would certainly rush people to the dance floor. We feel the subtle vocal stab on this journey, retaining all the heartfelt momentum that is unmistakably Hernan.
Club Rayo brings the attention to the bare essentials and takes us on a far different journey to the previous artists. The vocal is brought dead centre within an array of minimalistic percussive elements. Slowly dictating a languished acidic value. We’re at the dead of night, and then the keys come to really give us what we need. Leading us to a nice Deep Techy House work out, this will almost certainly keep the mix working.
Heralding from Buenos Aires, new kid off the block (at least for Low Pressings) Juan Lombardo (Hermine, Triskel, Deep Nota) gives us a subtle pad with some nice percussive shakes. Reaching into the vocal, this mix holds the same genetic make-up as earlier mixes with a great lean towards depth. With the great “open and close draw” drums, like it’s counterparts, we can hear this in the lounge as well as the full dance floor.
